Heidi Klum do not need to shave I’ve heard many men talking about german women, who do not shape themselves under their arms or wherever it is needed. All those guys sure never have seen a german girl!

The truth is: Most german women DO NOT NEED TO SHAVE! They have skins like a peach. Or can you imagine Heidi Klum or Claudia Schiffer operating with a electric shaver? Can you imagine them acting with sharp knifes?

German girls are very clever. If there is any ugly hair on their perfect bodys, they will find ways to cover them – in every situation…

People like Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer have a whole team of people who pluck, pull, and wax every undesireable hair off their bodies. Never mind the fact that most still photos of models are also edited to remove any kinds of imperfections on the skin.

However. It’s obvious that most German women shave. As a matter of fact, as a historian I would like to note that German women have shaved for years. I don’t see any hairy armpits in photos from the 1930s or later, with very rare exceptions.

I’ve arrived here via stumble. Obesity is rife in north america, but you don’t do yourselves any favours by claiming to be someone who cares about sending prejudices back to where they came from and then showing a single fat person from another country. That’s just hypocrisy.
On another note, I’m from the UK, and the government has just told us that most of us are ‘obese’. However, an article on the BBC website interviewed people at random who you wouldn’t say are fat, and yet by government standards they are! Everyone accused said “i’m not even overweight”. Sadly the government used the BMI to guage obesity, which doesn’t work, since they decided that some clearly non fat people were fat. Not that it bothers me, I’m at 22 year old male who only weighs 10 stone :)

I think this common misconception is partialy the fault of our beloved 80íes pop idole Nena. In the original music video to 99 red ballons she indeed displays quite a carpet under her arms. However you have to put this into context as this was Germany in the punk aera and of course one way the punk generation distances itself from socitey is through its disregard for personal hygene!
From personal experience i can say German women are extremly meticulous about shaving arm-pit leg and (thank god) pubic hair!

Many of the younger generations of Germans of course have picked up on what is modern behavior.I do know that still many Germans believe that people in the United States are to picky about hygiene.And many French also have this opinion.
Being raised in the states,I have just always seen women with shaved arms and legs (Smooth Skin) appealing.It does shock me to see fluff in the underarms of a good looking girl.
Then again,How much is a disposable razor? :)

I’ve lived in Germany for over three years, and while it’s true that most German girls shave, I have also seen more feminin armppit hair here, than anywhere else in the world.

I have had several German girlfriends, and they have been nothing but hot and not hairy. Yes, they have let their bush be bush. And my girlfriend didn’t trim back for her bikini which to a north american took some getting used to. But German women are amazing girlfriends and their bodies are wonderful. They love sex and are comfortable with being nude. Compared to english girls, the Germans are superior in all areas. They tend to be healthier, cleaner and embrace a more natural attitude to life. They also are capable of serious conversation, where for only a minority, English women are not.

My lovely Fraulein does not require shaving of her armpits nor legs. This might be unique, however it seems as though the original poster experienced this as well. I also agree with poster “Bob” – German ladies are quite “superior” in all areaas. They cherish their bodies, have wonderful morals and from my experience, are unburdened with issues like their UK, USA, Spanish and French counterparts. For the other poster “g” – try going to Spain if you want to see underarm hair… it runs rampant there in addition to body odor which they seem to find appealing. Nothing like being approached by an odorous, physically appealing latina… LOL. Needless to say, I am definitely pleased and staying with my beautiful/schon fraulein!!!

I have to agree with poster “Voltar”. German women are indeed unique in their beauty. I’ve been together with my German girlfriend for four months and things just get better every day. I come from Mexican families and i never imagined dating a blonde, blue-eyed German girl, but it happened. I am very happy with my beautiful blue-eyes german girl

All this Predjudice is absolutly wronge. it is true most German women don’t need to shave. I was born in Germany and been there for half my life. i can’t recall a single hair on any of the women I saw. none on their armpits or on the legs. nowhere at all ecsept on their head’s lol.

Whaaat. German women are disgusting, dark and hairy. You get a little bit of blond and blue in the very east because the eastern half of modern-day Germany was once a collection of Slavonic lands which were assimilated by the encroaching Germans. Plus, body type is that of a nasty pear, squinty Asiatic eyes, stocky legs and nasty facial structures.

It is pretty sad that one of the last natural countries on the planet has taken on the image of the perfect women from Hollywood. I think you women would be surprised how many men are not offended by women who have not plucked and/or shaved themselves to death. German women are very forward. American servicemen, especially ones whose families don’t accompany them, are very appealing to German women. They act slutty and forward and have intentions of sleeping with our men because it pleases them. I was warned by a Romanian woman to watch out for the German women before we moved to Germany. even the older women who didn’t shave in the times of sexual revolution and feminism do shave today. it’s no issue if you need to shave or not, you simply do it. everyone who is younger than 50, also a lot of guys.
i don’t really know where that prejudice derives from.
we once had an english teacher from america who asked us about it and he was serious about it, while we were sitting in front of him, wearing skirts, our shaved legs well visible…
some people just don’t want to see, you know. prejudices make this big world so much simpler.

There is nothing wrong or nonhygienic about not shaving legs. God gave us that hair and it is a ritual that is idiotic. I think it was started by the manufacturers of nylons. They thought the nylons looked better on the legs without hair.

If a woman bathes her leg hair is clean. I have not shaved my legs in over a year and am used to how my legs look now. Before I was brainwashed by Hollywood society but I do not care what they think anymore. Men have leg hair and are considered hygenic. Keeping oneself clean with or without hair is all one needs to do to be hygenic. IMHO more women need to think about this. Many women did not shave in the US in the early 1900s and it was fine with everyone until Hollywood and nylon manufacturing came along and lets not forget the shaving cream and shaving razors companies. Does anyone care if a man has hair on his legs? No one should make fun of a woman who has leg hair if she dares to show it.

As for armpit hair keeping it clean will help it be hygenic. A bit of a smell is actually appealing to many men and women. I’m not talking about stinking.

I am a heterosexual woman. Some think you are a lesbian if you don’t shave. That is a myth.

My mom used to live in Germany, was born there and raised most of her life there (though she is not German, she is Native American) and she said that yes most of the people in Germany are hairy and that deoderant is like perfume their, it’s an iffy and not everyone uses it. She says it is very beautiful in Germany but the hygenic habits of the people are questionable. Also, I didn’t think germans were fat, but us americans aren’t all fat! I know I’m not.

Ironically the American on the right is most likely of Germanic or Scandinavian descent. Being that she looks very mid-western. The German girls I met in Berlin were very fit and tall. If anything they’re gawky, and athletic, their limbs being like horse legs. Also they’re very unabashed, not like puritan Americans or Brits. Rachel said “in Germany.. the hygenic habits of the people are questionable”. That’s not true. Germans are obsessed with cleanliness. Berlin is the cleanest city (except Toyko) that I’ve ever scene. Every morning the woman scrub the side walks with only hot water, hot water!! And my friends mom made me sit on the toilet so that pee wouldn’t be around the bowl, I think that I discussed her with my dirty ways. And they love techno, and sex clubs.

The hairiest woman I ever saw happened to be a woman in Germany when I visited there many years ago. Puffs around her ankles, like a poodle’s. But then again, I’ve seen more women with mustaches here in the USA.

There are more men in America than it is known that are attracted to women with leg and armpit hair. We do not think that a woman does not take care of herself if she does not shave. I think also that all of this shaving of pubic hair has driven alot of us to hate any shaving at all. If a woman is clean, the hair is not only no problem but very sexy to many of us. A really good looking woman only makes it more sexy.

Well…the Generation of over 34 do have women who do not shave, or shave regularly.
I used to work with this HOT German woman. Killer body. In Summer she had a tanktop once, and I could not belive it….hairy armpits. And that was not only one incident. I have met more women with the same thing.
The younger generation is generally up to date and really take care of themselves.

I been in Germany, and I have known German women, and a lot of women from all other parts of the world. I personally am a fan of hair, most plces it grows. As for the German women I can speek for the older generation, and boy were they hairy n beatiful. And they loved it that way. You could see it at the beach and the like plces. I grew up in Germany all my life. I am now 26yrs old and have to say that every girl in my generation shaves at least legs, armpits and the bikini line. But as we all know, Europe is a little more liberal than the USA. so if a girl decides not to shave her armpits, that is her decision and has nothing to do with hygene!
And another thing, we women don’t complain if men don’t shave. having a guy hugging you with his sweaty armpits is not nice either…

My German girlfriend shaves-EVERYTHING..and has piercings as well (iron cross on her “lower lips”-niiiice!. I had her get a Swastika tatoo on her left breast, not because I am a Nazi or anything, I just think it looks HOT. She smokes like a chimney so she probably won’t live long anyway. Thats qhy Im getting it as much as I can!! If Hitler’s master plan was to make more hot German women, he wasn’t all bad!!!

I will have to say that if a German woman (or any woman for that matter) decides to not shave her legs or underarms…who cares? Her choice! I’m 28,I’ve been married to a sweet,caring German girl from Dresden for two years. She shaves because it is HER CHOICE! There are men who like women who go natural,there are men who find that nasty. It’s a matter of taste. Here in the US,we’re a bit too obsessed with looks and just a bit self-centered (not all of us) Let’s focus on the beauty of women world wide and go from there.

Contrary to the very stereotypical heading, German women are just like all other women. This is a very strange topic, though. I would ask how we got onto the subject but I doubt I’ll ever see this website again. Anyway, stereotypes are immature so I would suggest to try your hardest and stop stereotyping other people. There is a science fact which all of the humans have hairs on their skin. It’s possible that some of the peoples need to shave less than other peoples, but you can not find a true person with no need to shaving.

My girlfriend is German, and she does shave but her hair grows very slowly. Especially in the pubic area, if I did not know better i would think that no hair grows down there at all. And to the dont shave comment, she loves shaveing, especially her legs.

Guys u r naive. Everybody’s got hair. And my gf worked as a gynecologist while we lived in Germany and she hated it!!! She said she never have seen so hairy… and they did not even wash them before visiting a doctor!!!
We are not going to this country ever again!!
Even in UK girls are the way slimmer and cuter.
But I vote for Ukraine, Norway and Russia.

I’m a Native American women who shaves, but rarely ever needs to due to the sparseness of the body hair. I have a German friend who rarely ever shaves for the same reason. I do it only to fit in with the expectations of North American society. I do not judge a women who does not shave, as long as she is cleanly and does not have body odor. But honestly, I don’t get why men complain about women who do not shave- its men who are far hairy than women. If any one needs to shave its men.

It’s truly amazing how much disinformation is being disseminated on this post. The fact is, the United States is ranked as having the highest obesity rate in the Western world coming in at 76.7% of females aged 15+. Americans are fat. I’m an American (male), and even though I am 6’2″, I weigh 230 lbs and am considered obese by any weight to height ratio index. Yes, I need to work out. Most Americans do, obesity is fastly becoming a health crisis -this concern has been echoed by our own government month after month for the past 15 years.

Now onward concerning German female hairiness. There are so many variables to consider, it would be impossible to assess any factual conclusion based on one person alone’ experience.

Agrarian versus metropolitan geography defines in much degree the choices women make in their proposed hygiene choices. As does from what generation a (German) woman grew up in. When discussing hygiene, one must include the act of shaving since hair is much more likely to absorb and pick up germs, bio-pathogens, lice, scabies, etc. This is not to assert that hairy women are unclean, but hair does indeed add to the propensity of attracting germs and parasites. It’s a fact, and the main reason one undergoes being shaved in areas which are to be operated (surgery) on. Europe in general, women shave less. This is not to argue that all women in Europe do not shave, but shaving products are sold (and marketed) to much less degree than to their American counterparts. One variable is Capitalism. America’s sole existence stems from its ability to sell products whether we need them or not. And even then, marketed to the extreme point of mass-consumerization. Europe, less so. Shaving products were much less marketed to German women over the age of what’s now 40, than their younger counterparts of say, 25. As Germany’s sense of what defines “beauty” is changed by marketers, so then is their sense of ‘self’ changed. This includes what German society does, or will in the future, think of excessive body hair (by Western manufacturing/marketing standards).

The German women I’ve had the opportunity of dating both in Germany, and in the U.S. (26 total) have been both unshaven and shaven. Though there seems to be a vast difference in how a 25 year old sees her body today, versus a 20 year old did 20 years ago (thus, a 60+ year old today), trends change and there is a vast difference between simply being ‘hairy’, and being ‘unkept and hairy’.

NEWSFLASH: All European nationalities have been accused of their women not shaving. Think about it. What were the stereotypes and impressions of each European woman in the past? French= were considered hairy. We were told they love armpit hair and body odor. Italians,Greeks, Spaniards,all Eastern European countries (do I need to say more? All considered hairy and odorous). Lastly, Germans. My mom is full-blooded, born and bred Northern German and can go two weeks w/o shaving her thighs b/c she’s got peach fuzz. I think a lot of people are prejudiced against Germans for WW2, and for how they have a propensity toward efficiency and excellence. Germans are VERY clean. In fact, you could say their habits about cleanliness are like the Japanese (another culture that holds efficiency as an important cultural value). I suspect a lot of these people shooting off at the mouth about phantom hairy Germans has a major axe to grinde against Germans. Germans are like any majority-blonde nation, they don’t need to shave as often to look clean AND all of Europe has been accused of being hairy and not shaving – Germany’s no exception, but things are modernized and shaving is pretty universal now.

In my experience, German women actually shave MORE frequently than women of other nationalities. Believe it or not, it’s British women who are most likely to be young and hairy, and I say…MORE POWER TO ‘EM! I like shaved legs ands pits, but a nice bush was the Western norm until around 1990 or so, and at least SOME pubes ’til around 1997. Thousands of years of hairy pussy vs a couple of dedcades of boring stubbly twat is no contest in my book. And no I’m not some nostalgic old man. I’m 33, and thus was right there to witness the transition from the early 90s landing strip interlude to this unfortunate current trend of soulless pubelessness.

I come from Scotland and lived in Germany for a few years. I found the women there beautiful to look at, interesting to listen to, and fun to be with. Hairy or not. I have no problem with girls not shaving though, would even say i prefer it, as shaven women can look pre-pubescent.

I’m an American with grandparents from Germany. I also lived in Germany for about two years. I actually prefer my women to be natural. I have dated and slept with more women with hair on their arms and full bushes that were American than German women when I lived in Germany.
The hairiest girl that I ever had as a girlfriend was from Holland. She was a beautiful tall girl with an amazing body and fine white/blond hair that covered her arms.
I love women of all nationalities but I must say that if a women is really beautiful and confident, most men do not care if she shaves or not.

MY mom’s family came here from north Italy.
The people from there look Fraco Germanic.
So much so people think I’m German.
I’m hairy but very clean. I trim my hair in my armpits and puibs. I don’t mind hair on a woman as long as she’s clean although I prefer, lighter body hair on a woman.

I’m in Germany and most women have huge arses, no tits, hairy armpits and smell like a sewer. Munich is a little better as they don’t smell. Since I have been here I have seen two women urinate in the street, one in Munich and one in Gernsbach. But I must say, German gals are great to send to the bottle shop, because they can easily carry two cartons of beer home.

I visited Munich for several days in 2009. My observations of that visit:

1. Cleanliness – it was summer and no Germans had body odor. Air conditioning seemed to be uncommon. We spent time in crowds, on transit, etc. The city was also very clean and orderly.
2. Female hairyness – I saw no hairy armpits or leggs. It was summer and many wore shorts and sleeveless tops or summer dresses.
3. German beauty – I saw far fewer overweight Germans than I see Americans in the States. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the attitude of Don Juan Demarco expressed in the movie that all women are beautiful if you know how to perceive them.

Well, German women must be wonderful. One made off with my man soon after I came back to the states. Thing is, I knew it would happen. Those soldiers in Germany have a ball with the German girls. Back in my day, they would wear little girl socks,(you know, the anklets turned down with the lace edges). With high heels, no less. I’ve never seen an American woman do that. I know I would not. Looks strange to me, but then again, I’m not a man. I guess that would be attractive to some men. Ugh. Also, I would imagine their homes are nicely kept. The country is very clean. Hairy? She is a little overweight, but I love that. I am 5’5″, 130#. She rarely has to shave. No body hair. Born in Hamburg. She came here at age 10. She is 54 now and best wife/pertner I have EVER had. Works seven days a week. Dinner is always on table at 6 cst. House is clean. I am kept well satisfied. I have been married 3 times before. All to Texas women. This one I have kept for over 10 years and plan on forever. Do not have to worry about her scheming/cheating.
